Organize Complex Datasheets with Column Groups
When a datasheet contains many fields, field order alone may not clearly show the business relationships between columns. AITable v1.14.0 introduces column groups, allowing you to organize existing fields under a shared header so that complex datasheets are easier to browse and maintain.
Column groups organize fields, while record groups organize rows by field values. You can create a column group from a field header's context menu, remove a field from a group, or ungroup all fields in a column group.
Column groups support the following operations:
- Fields in the same column group do not need to be adjacent. A separate group color band is displayed for each segment divided by other fields.
- Select a group's collapse button to hide all fields in the group at once. An expand control remains available even when every field is hidden.
- Reorder fields within a group. Dragging a field beyond the group's boundary automatically removes it from the group.
- Frozen fields, horizontal scrolling, and exports preserve the correct column group structure.
Please note that this version does not support dragging an entire column group. Column group visuals are also not displayed on mobile devices, but users can still view and edit datasheet data normally on mobile.
Improved Mirrors and Embedding
AITable v1.14.0 adds support for embedding mirrors and returns accessible data according to the user's sign-in state and permissions. Interactions in mirror lists and toolbars have also been improved, while issues affecting embedded read-only mode, member filtering, and the display of members without roles have been fixed.
This release also adds mirror alerting capabilities, reducing the risk that exceptions in embedded and collaborative scenarios go unnoticed.
Improved Everyday Stability
This release fixes the following user-facing issues:
- 🔧 Improved batch-processing progress when pasting large amounts of data, reducing accidental actions or premature page exits while processing is underway.
- 🔧 Added local caching for WorkDocs, reducing the risk of document content being cleared after a network disconnection and reconnection.
- 🔧 Fixed a crash that could occur when exporting a datasheet from version history to Excel.
- 🔧 Fixed an issue where the text, title, or link might not update after pasting a link into a URL field.
- 🔧 Fixed duplicate displays of the directory tree and root nodes.
- 🔧 Fixed errors when copying members with the same name, synchronizing duplicate members, or restoring members.
- 🔧 Fixed onboarding flows appearing on embedded pages and inaccurate read-only mode detection.
